Carrie Rivette began her love for the outdoors early and spent all of her free time in the woods or in the water. She received a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Carrie has over 30 years of experience, primarily in Water Resources.  She spent 12 years with the City of Grand Rapids as stormwater manager, where she worked on creating and implementing their Vital Streets plan.  This combination of complete streets and green infrastructure was a perfect way to indulge her passions for biking and water.  She currently has the pleasure of working with water resources, non-motorized trails, and forestry.  In her free time, she loves biking, running and all things water, except swimming in a straight line.

Maximizing Trail Connections for Community Growth and Generational Impact

1:15PM-2PM

This panel discussion explores aspects of the West Michigan Shoreline Trails and Greenways Planning Process for Trail Development, Management, and Community Benefit. Join our panelists on the scenic route as we explore the shoreline system of multi-modal connections and learn new techniques to engage stakeholders. The result? An informed and empowered community focused on generational prosperity. By the end of the session, participants will better understand the intersectionality between infrastructure, healthy communities, equitable outcomes, and neighborhood transformation.
