Jamila “jp” Pugh

Jamila “JP” is new to the outdoor industry but not new to the joy, wonders, and benefits of the outdoors. In her most recent role, she championed and implemented programs that helped underserved girls reach their fullest potential including opportunities to explore sports and experiential scientific learning outdoors.

In March of 2022, she joined Outdoor Industry Association to improve member experience and value. Utilizing her extensive experience in enrollment, recruitment, and operations in the non-profit and for-profit education space, JP is focused on negotiating business partnerships that help save our members money, recruiting new members, and stewarding existing members.

In her role as a membership manager, she derives great joy connecting members, ensuring thorough onboarding, and connecting members to the benefits they value the most. Jamila collaborates with business partners to develop high quality, efficient services to help our members increase their return on their OIA investment.

Outside of work, she enjoys bike riding and nature walks with her dog Scout along the Chattahoochee River and at local and state parks.
